The first valve needs to be open center, 3/2. This will control your cylinder. The second valve can also be 3/2 open center, but you need to put a plug in 1 exhaust port. When you flip the valve for the cylinder to go down and the motor to run, the air from the op side of cylinder is exhausted through the open center.

The R8 spindle was made by a friend and myself and another friend designed the power drawbar setup for it, the motor mount and spindle mount. I've since upgraded to a DMM 750W servo motor. All of my build info is on the Taig facebook group. FYI, the spindle (and everything else) was designed and made from scratch just for the TTS system.

, 05:27 PM. There are a few spring retained R8 drawbar systems, these are the fastest tool change systems available. They use a spring loaded retention knob system at the top of the spindle to draw the collet, if you only do very light work these can up your game. They do not hold tools well however.

Take a look at my DIY power drawbar for the PM 940 CNC VS. I already had a Milwaukee right angle impact tool which I used for the drawbar. I can get quite a few tool changes on a single charge. There are two speeds and I only use the slow speed for now. This is my first prototype for this drawbar. It seems to be working just fine.
